1 g PSORCUTAN BETA contains 0.05 mg calcipotriol and 0.5 mg betamethasone (as dipropionate).
Liquid paraffin, polyoxypropylene-15-stearyl ether, α-tocopherol, white soft paraffin.
What is PSORCUTAN BETA and what is it used for?
PSORCUTAN BETA contains calcipotriol (a substance similar to vitamin D) and betamethasone (a steroid) active ingredients. Calcipotriol allows the growth rate of skin cells to return to normal. Betamethasone, a corticosteroid, causes a decrease in inflammation (not to be confused with anabolic steroids used erroneously by some bodybuilders and athletes).
PSORCUTAN BETA is used for the treatment of a certain type of psoriasis (plaque psoriasis). Psoriasis occurs when skin cells begin to multiply too quickly. This causes redness, scaling, and thickening of the skin.
PSORCUTAN BETA treats the symptoms of psoriasis and helps the rapidly proliferating skin cells return to normal.
